January is “media month”, and our first speaker is Jeff Barganier, a writer now but a former lawyer and a U.S. Army Veteran. Jeff practiced law in the early 80s and was also a financial advisor. But in 1994, he made a career change and decided to become a writer. In the late 90s, he was widely interviewed on Talk Radio concerning his first book, The Slash Brokers. The book is about a stockbroker caught in a web of international intrigue between American patriots and international human organ traffickers. His latest book, Lawson’s Bluff, is an unflattering account of Alabama hunters written by a journalist from the fictional LA World News. Ultimately, the young lady discovers a deeper story and unlikely love.

Aside from his books, Jeff has authored countless newspaper, magazine, and blog features, including travel, art and culture, editorial, and legal commentary. He has an article in the latest issue of BOOM about a visit to the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville, Georgia. His website, www.jeffbarganier.com, lists his articles since 2016.

Jeff is married to Cindy, a successful entrepreneur who owns Cindy Barganier Interiors. He is her business manager.
