Boys & Girls Clubs of the River Region

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the River Region is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1946 in Montgomery, Alabama with four clubs in Montgomery and Elmore counties. We provide services to youth “that need us the most” with educational, recreational and developmental activities. Our Clubs continue to respond to pressures of student learning and achievement by preparing our youth for their future as literate, informed and responsible citizens by cultivating “21st century” literacy skills. We are currently serving 1,300 youth ages 6-18 in all four Clubs. We are opened M-F from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. when school is in session and from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during summer recess for an annual membership of $5. Our new strategic direction plan, Formula for Impact, focus on Academic Success, Character & Leadership, and Healthy Life Skills. Moreover, we provide targeted programs which address specific community needs: Programs such as Money Matters, Passport to Manhood, Smart Girls, Project Learn, Family Plus, National Fine Arts Exhibit and many more.
