Join us this week as Becky Saunders, Vice President of Development, Liberty Learning Foundation, Southern Region, tells us about current challenges and progress in K – 12 classrooms. The organization was founded in 2009, and was inspired by the CEO’s involvement with Honor Flights. These flights are free for veterans of World War II, terminally ill veterans, and Korean War Veterans. (Currently, there is a two-year waiting list.) The flights are to Washington D.C. The CEO heard the veterans’ stories and their sacrifices for the nation, which provided a vision for the Liberty Learning Foundation. The Foundation provides educators with programs that foster character development, financial responsibility and career readiness. Said another way, it prepares children to be informed and productive citizens. The Foundation is active in 49 counties and reaches 60,000 students annually.  Learn more at libertylearning.org.
