Our speaker on Thursday is Dr. Michelle Mallard, the Executive Director of New Beginnings Educational Center. The mission of the Center is to improve academic and life outcomes for at-risk children through tutoring, mentoring, enrichment, and wellness programs.

She has more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning law, cybersecurity, higher education, and nonprofit management.

She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University and a Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University. Additionally, she completed postdoctoral training in Business Management at the University of Florida and is a US Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Her professional background includes legal practice, senior leadership roles in information security and compliance, and service as an adjunct and assistant professor teaching business law and cybersecurity at several universities.

Dr. Mallard is also a licensed minister serving as an Associate Minister at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where her faith and commitment guide her work in the community.

She is deeply committed to empowering future generations with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to overcome life’s challenges and succeed.
