Kimberly Baker is the Director of Development and Marketing for Valiant Cross Academy, a school that transcends the challenges facing young African American males. Kimberly has extensive experience in Marketing, Public Relations and Development. She has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector serving Montgomery County and the River Region.
She currently serves as the Montgomery Rotary Club President-elect, and serves on the Board of Directors for The Red Tail Scholarship Foundation, Alabama Children First, Mercy House and the MAP Center. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Trustmark Bank.
She has also previously served on the Board of Directors for ClefWorks, Montgomery Medical Outreach, Junior League of Montgomery, Hands on River Region, Montgomery Christian School, Montgomery Botanical Gardens, Hospice of Montgomery, and The Montgomery Music Project. Kimberly also served as the President of the Junior League of Montgomery.
Kimberly has guided Valiant Cross Academy to receive the USA Today – A Community Thrives National Grant, the State Farm Neighborhood Assist National Grant, the Trustmark National Grant, the State of Alabama Bicentennial School Grant – awarded by Governor Kay Ivey, and most recently, the Yass $1 Million Grant Award.
Kimberly has received the Junior League of Montgomery’s Women to Watch Award, and the AL Metro 360 Women of Achievement Award. She has received the Paul Harris Fellow designation from the Rotary Foundation.
Kimberly has a B.S. from Auburn University, has been married for 24 years, and has three children.
