MCRC participated in the “Inaugural Steak Off” benefitting the Bell Road, James Wilson, and Peppertree YMCA. While we hope the “Y” found this a worthwhile fundraiser and will do it again, the most significant reason for the club participating was that we used our trailer to cook the steaks provided to the vendors. This was, after all, a competition! In addition to the steaks, Adam cooked beef tenderloins, sausage, and chicken breasts. Karen, Carshala and Ann carved the meat into small bites, which were available to all the attendees as samples. Some got more than a sample! But it was for a good cause and a lot of fun.

This was a successful test run for the trailer, thanks to Adam. In addition to Adam, five of us pitched in to prepare, cook, serve and clean up after the event.  It was a fun event that lived up to our motto, Service Above Self.
